Today we open AI Tokens to everyone: one API, compatible with OpenAI's SDKs, on open-weight models that run on machines in Switzerland.
What you get
- Open-weight models: Qwen, Gemma, Apertus (the model of the Swiss AI Initiative) and others, each with its price per million tokens, input and output apart. The catalogue lists them with their limits.
- The code you have works: change the base URL to
https://api.aitokens.ch/v1and the key, nothing else. autopicks the model for each request: a lower-cost model for routine work, a reasoning model when the task needs it. A task keeps its model through its tool calls, and every answer says which model answered and why.- A spending limit per key, checked before any model runs: a request that would not fit is refused before it starts, never cut halfway.
Where your data are
Every request arrives in Switzerland and is computed there: once it reaches us, not a single packet of it leaves the Confederation. Your account, keys, usage records and backups are in Switzerland too. We do not use your requests or answers to train models.
How you pay
Prepaid credit in Swiss francs, topped up by card, with no subscription. Top-ups from CHF 50 come with more credit, up to 20% from CHF 5,000, and the automatic top-up adds 5% more. Confirm your e-mail address when you sign up and CHF 2 of credit is loaded on your account.
